Sitting on our terrace, in the middle of the
picturesque half-timbered framework houses round about the market place, you
can enjoy and experience the comings and goings of our small town of
Oberwesel.

"The most attractive half-timbered framework house and at the
same time the best profane construction in Oberwesel is the Haus Weiler,
built in 1552 on the market place, whose wonderful renaissance beamwork
was hidden until it was uncovered in the year 1919 underneath the
plaster.

The owner, who worked with and upheld
the suggestions of the monument maintenance, also let a wrought-iron hanging
sign be made from a design put forward by the same people.
The picture is especially then effective when the green trees and
the bright colors of the hydrangea flowers in the background bring it to
life in the late summer."
